When chronic illness left her bedridden in her twenties, Cindy Sheffield began questioning everything she’d been taught about health and eventually, about farming.
That search for healing led Cindy and her husband to rebuild their land in Burneyville, Oklahoma, where TLC Ranch now stands: a regenerative bison ranch and certified organic pecan orchard rooted in living systems instead of chemicals.
In this episode, Cindy shares how the principles that helped restore her own health through real food, intuition, patience, and faith which are the same principles that restored her soil. We talk through decades of trial and error, floods and renewal, learning bison behavior, navigating organic certification, and replacing chemical inputs with biological ones.
This conversation is a reminder that regeneration doesn’t start with practices or labels, it starts within. And when health, land, and belief come back into alignment, both people and ecosystems can recover.
